Yesterday I was amazed to find [via Gizmodo] that it was confirmed that 8 people had bought the “I Am Rich” iPhone app, which costs $999.99 (was $1000). Its features consist of a masterpiece on your screen to show how rich you are to other people and a “secret” mantra:
“I am rich
I deserv it
I am rich,
healthy &
successful.”
Cult Of Mac mourns the loss of the app from the app store. 3 other apps have also been pulled from the store recently with no explanation. Cult Of Mac also talks about why they don’t like Apple’s behaviour recently.
The Digital Lifestyle has a post stating why the app was brilliant
There is even a wallpaper for the iPhone, deriving from this app.

One of the people who bought it even gives a guided tour of the much-talked-of app. He also has a hacked version for people who want the app, but didn’t get it before Apple removed it

Am I joking?
No, I’m serious. There was a lot of fuss kicked up about the iPhone. For these features that the iPod Touch already had:
- App store; you can get the same exact applications for iPod Touch
- The Safari and Mail; You have that on an iPod Touch, except it’s not on the bottom
- Google Maps, YouTube… ; iPod got them, can also get them from iPod App store
- Touch screen; Obviously the iPod Touch
- The only thing iPod T doesn’t have that iPhone (and even then, only the newer models) has is 3G connectivity.

Maybe a tiny difference
I agree that maybe there are small differences that there are that maybe the Touch doesn’t have, such as the Accelerometer technology(maybe). If you are wanting a phone in the Touch, download a VoIP app.Update: No microphones on iPod I see in the pic
But honestly, couldn’t they just make a scaled down version of the iPhone and call it iPhone Lite for cheapskates. Sorry, couldn’t they call it “iPhone Lite” and make it for cheapskates.
Or maybe there are some major features I don’t know about?
I dunno. I don’t think so. If you spot one, let me know in the comments section.

I’ve just received news that the Firefox Community has officially broken a new world record; “largest number of software downloads in 24 hours”. I am a part of the Firefox Community and have helped in the progress by downloading Firefox 3 at the time onto my Mac and my sister’s Toshiba Portégé® Tablet PC. That’s two downloads. I am very happy about this. This is the first time I’ve participated in a world record and it was so easy.
I got a certificate as well:

Finally! Just when I give up, I find out how to install Leopard on my USB. I was just browsing this new site I came across, maciverse.com, when I found this article. I won’t be long, my dad’ll wake up anytime.
I won’t even say anything, except ENJOY
If you lose that article to a 404 error or …something, there’s always this one
If both of them get lost, all I know is that, with the Leopard one, you need more than 8 GB, GUID partition, and if you have 8GB you can do a custom install and take out optional stuff, such as unneeded drivers.
Note: This hasn’t been tested on OSX86 machines
Good Luck!

Just recently, I wrote a review of MarsEdit, saying in the introduction that I don’t like Qumana anymore. Today, I’m going to compare Qumana and MarsEdit, and I’m gonna run both of them through a series of tests and see if they suit different people in different situations, or if one of them is just not umm… good enough

Here is the MarsEdit interface, the work area. It’s clean and simple. Like I said in my MarsEdit review, the developer doesn’t clutter it up with useless features, but only places the most commonly used ones to keep it simple. Now have a look at Qumana (if I can get it to load; it’s already disqualified off the Usability round)
QUMANA HAS AUTOMATICALLY BEEN DISQUALIFIED OFF THE USABILITY ROUND; THE FIRST ROUND. WHY WON’T IT OPEN? I’LL CONTINUE THIS POST NEXT TIME…
